AOMA Mentorship Program

Aoma’s mentorship program pairs up teens in grades 8-12 with kids in grades 1-4 offering a unique environment for learning and growth.

Students mentoring Students

At the core of AOMA’s mentorship program is the concept of students mentoring students. This mutually beneficially arrangement set in our small AOMA studio offers a personalized approach for both mentor and mentee and fosters growth through relationship building.

In learning you will teach, in teaching you will learn.

Teen Mentors

Teen mentors in grades 8-12 can gain valuable experience in both youth work and art instruction. Our mentorship program is a great resume builder for teens that are working towards volunteer hours for their school requirements or seeking real world experience in preparation for their first summer job.

We are looking for teens that are inspired by art, LOVE working with kids & are committed to at least 1 full semester (10 weeks of mentorship). With AOMA’s mentorship program teens can expect;

  • Volunteer Training
  • A signed certificate with your completed volunteer hours (Great to show your school or add to your resume)
  • Working with excited young artists in grades 1-4
  • Adult supervision
  • Make new friends and memories with other mentors your age

The delicate balance of mentoring someone is not creating them in your own image, but giving them the opportunity to create themselves.
