AOMA VISITS CALIFORNIA

Creating partnerships with upstanding arts universities and school, and offering application and portfolio guidance is part of our mission at AOMA.

With that in mind we recently traveled to California to visit and connect with some top schools and programs. We had the opportunity to visit beautiful schools in UCLA, Pepperdine, USC & LMU.

Pepperdine is consistently ranked as one of the most beautiful campuses to study. It is situated in the gorgeous coastal community of Malibu but also has additional locations throughout California and the Los Angeles area.

Pepperdine’s Fine Arts division offers programs in Art, Art History, Music & Theatre. For Art & Production Design you must submit a portfolio along with your application.

UCLA has been a leader in the States for nearly 100 years. Another beautiful campus in the western part of Los Angeles known for both it’s academics and athletics. Founded in 1929, they are the second oldest university in California.

Visual artists are responsible for some of the most provocative and enduring expressions of culture. At UCLA, emerging artists are provided with the tools they need to express themselves in ways that are meaningful in the social context in which they live and work.

UCLA Website

Loyola Marymount University was founded in 1911 and ranked among the top 15 universities in America in Wall Street Journal’s most recent rankings. This stunning campus has also been named one of the most 10 beautiful campuses in the States.

Their College of Fine Arts offers a Studio Arts program that, “provides a broad foundation in fundamental artistic techniques and concepts, and permits individuals to experience the possibilities of creative expression while developing an understanding of art as a key to cultural awareness.” To find out more about this excellent program you can visit their website here or talk to us about prepping for your application.

USC features their Cinematic Arts program. This program is the most prestigious in the country, and invites students to, “explore and expand the power and potential of film, television and new media.”

The school was founded in 1929 and sits on a beautiful campus in southwest Los Angeles.

Our programs provide a one-of-a-kind opportunity for women and men such as yourself, from regions as diverse as Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas, to explore and expand your creative potential

UNIVERSITY INFO NIGHT: On November 27th we hosted representatives from major American and Canadian Universities during our exciting University Info Night.

Four administrative officers from each university offered a comprehensive presentation introducing their schools, programs, portfolio requirements, admission requirements and career development.

Attendees had their questions answered and also provided some great one-on-one consultation regarding student’s portfolios and application concerns. The night was well received and we look forward to future Info Nights at AOMA.
