Steve DiPaola — Generative AI & Digital Fine Art
Steve DiPaola is an American artist, researcher, and educator internationally recognized as one of the leading artists working at the intersection of AI and digital art today. With teaching experience at Stanford and years of work in Silicon Valley at the intersection of AI and visual technology, he joined Simon Fraser University as a professor. His pioneering work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and Tate.
Featured Artworks: Pioneering digital and AI-generated visual pieces that explore machine cognition, visual perception, and the evolving boundary between human creativity and artificial intelligence.
Andrew McDermott — Master Pastel Paintings
Andrew McDermott, an internationally acclaimed master of pastel painting who has received prestigious master-level recognition from leading pastel organizations in both Canada and the United States. With decades of university teaching experience in Vancouver and more than ten years teaching at AOMA, McDermott brings both international artistic achievement and a deep connection to the local arts community.
Featured Artworks: A selection of McDermott’s master-level pastel works, capturing vibrant light, rich atmosphere, and expressive urban and natural landscapes with masterful texture and tone.
Xiangmei Su — Installation, Threads & Mixed Media
Xiangmei Su is a Vancouver-based Canadian-Chinese multidisciplinary artist working across installation, mixed media, painting, photography, and video. Her practice explores memory, migration, cultural identity, and belonging, connecting her textile heritage in Suzhou with contemporary artistic expression.
Featured Artworks: Multidisciplinary installations and mixed-media compositions that utilize thread as both a physical material and a symbolic visual language to map cultural journey and personal narrative.
